Our Doctors use results of liver function tests and all the Test results at the time of Evaluation to determine your prognosis and your place on the Liver transplant waiting list.
Waiting for a donor liver could be in week or it could be months. As you wait for a new liver, the doctor will treat any complications of your liver failure, to make you as comfortable as possible.

The first night immediately after surgery is spent recuperating at the Surgical Intensive Care Unit where they are closely monitored and cared for by a staff of specialized nurses and doctors.
Once the donor has been discharged from the hospital, the recovery period at home begins. Patients are handed a discharge summary which has detailed instructions on how the recovery should be handled. In addition, the patient as well the family should educate themselves beforehand on the various protocols required after discharge. They should take time to understand the various tests such as blood tests.

LIVING DONOR LIVER TRANSPLANT
Living Donor Liver Transplant offers an attractive alternative to deceased-donor organ transplantation. You may have a shorter waiting period and equal or improved life expectancy with a living-donor transplant.
DECEASED DONOR LIVER TRANSPLANT
This type of Liver Transplant occurs when liver is harvested from a brain dead person whose family wishes to donate the person’s organs. the liver can safely preserve outside the body in special preservation solutions for 12-14 hours.
